PRESENTATION EVENING 2021

Friday 12 November was the joint 2020 and 2021 presentation night, and a chance to get together and have a few beers. 

Ian Coleman gave a summary of the financial status of the club, which is very healthy.

Many members paid all or part of their subs on the night.

Some discussion also focussed on:

Weighing equipment and weighing-in teams/procedure

Net rules

The holiday next year to Manor farm.

All these topics, and anything else that people wanted to discuss, will be fully explored prior to and during the AGM meeting next march, when everyone is expected at attend.

We have secured 3 lakes which we will fish in rotation being on a different lake each day.

The draw will be done a couple of nights before and will be published so you know exactly where to go each day

There are 2 competitions which we have decided to seed so we're all fishing against anglers of a similar ability giving everyone chance to pick up points and prizes. Theres individual competition and a teams of 4 competition. The draw for the teams of 4 will be done over the next week or so.

2018 SMAC FISHING HOLIDAY

Another fantastic holiday down to Manor Farm has just come to an end, with conditions not ideal for fishing we've had the 4 hottest days of the year back to back with constant bright sunshine, perfect BBQ and beer weather but not so much for fishing..... we still managed to catch some fish though! with 9500lb of fish in total caught throughout the week, 18 ton+ weights and 8 members smashing their personal best weights - all listed below. Tackle tart of the year – Ged Smith for turning up at every match with a new pole – special mention also goes to Martin Cook for his complete overhaul of tackle definitely not on an insurance scam

Biggest moaner – Tommy Edwards for constantly whinging about nothing – special mention goes to Eric Quinn for also constantly whinging about nothing

Most improved angler – Keith Thorne for an impressive season finishing 12^th compared to 14^th last year picking up 7 times along the way – special mention goes to Paul Tighe who’s also fished a cracking season compared to last year

Drawbag of the year – Jason Suggett for drawing pegs that the rest of us dream of apart from Phil Zahra who gets a special mention for drawing his own pool everytime his hand goes in the bag

most punctual reply to booking on texts – Alan Hesling for responding within seconds as he’s got nothing better to do!! Special mention goes to everyone else who responds quickly and doesn’t let us down – this really is an important factor in getting matches to run smoothly!!
